Winston "Winnie" Churchill

Winston Churchill was born on November 30th, 1874 in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom in the Blenheim Palace. Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill is a known as one of the world's greatest leaders along with many titles such as Prime Minister, Journalist, Author, Orator, Statesman, Soldier and Historian. Churchill grew up in Dublin, Ireland where he attended formal school, then later being sent away to a boarding school outside of London called Harrow when he was only twelve years old. While he attended Harrow he found out he was not very interested in education and more of the Military where he joined the Harrow Rifle Corps which then led to his military career.
At first, Winston thought the military was not a good choice because it took him nearly three tries to pass the British Royal Military College Exam, but once he did he graduated 20/130 in his class. During his military career he joined the 4th Hussars where he saw action in Cuba, when he returned to England he stayed with his nanny until her death a week after. Churchill saw many areas of battle such as Cuba, Bombay, British India, Pakistan, Egypt.and during his time in the Military he wrote several articles and newspapers during the war which is where his political career comes into his

He began his first term as prime minister when the Germans were preparing to invade France in WWII, and Neville Chamberlain resigned resulting in Churchill's first term as Prime Minister. He accomplished the unthinkable by leading Great Britain's Royal Army in a victory over the dominant Nazi Germany with Hitler with the help of good friend FDR where he discussed his war strategy.
On July 5th, 1946 he loses the general election to Clement Atlee, which brings Churchill's famous "Iron Curtain Speech" in 1946 where he spoke about The Soviet Union and how they were beginning to carry out its plans for postwar dominance of eastern Europe basically the start of the Cold War. In 1951 Churchill is elected for his second term as Prime Minister (1951-1955) where he focuses on domestic affairs and maintains a close working relationship with the United
