Wind power caught my attention for an energy solution for countries that have lack of because the amount of space most of these places have. Unlike the U.S. there is a lot of open space where wind farms would be able to fit. Due to the fact that climate change has hit struggling countries the hardest, it is important for them to find alternative sources of energy that they are able to produce themselves with little effort. Wind power seems like a good alternative for developing if not all countries because it could create
jobs, keep their developing clean, and it is sustainable. The downsides to wind power are the use of land that they would possibly be using for farming and danger to flying wildlife. The blades that turn with wind can get birds and bats caught in them and kill them. The wind farms could also destroy habitats that animals live in.
There are places that have realized the positive effects of wind energy and are trying to spread information about what could come if developing countries were able to use wind power energy. TERNA (Technical Expertise for Renewable Energy
Application) of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) are working to change how wind power is looked at. TERNA offers its partners many …show more content…
They made the switch over to use less fossil fuel and use the renewable resources they have so much of. They want to protect their land as well as people and feel renewable and clean energy is the best way to achieve that goal. With the population growing for some of these countries renewable resources seem the best and only option.
Although renewable resources and energy is just now being accepted and fairly new technology, there is still more that needs to be said about what we could actually do by using energy such as wind power. It could make many places more independent and confident. It also gives the chance of learning and education. There are downsides to
