It is a hard candy that would never lose flavor, and never disappear. With the popularity of the movie, Gobstoppers have made the market and are available today. However, they hardly last forever, and we are lucky if the sweet candies last us an hour. If the ever-lasting gobstopper were real, we would never have to go through the sweet tooth cravings again.
Of course, in the big hunt for the golden ticket that granted access to the Wonka factory, you would need to purchase one of the chocolate bars that they produced. And they sound delicious. Wonka Fudge Mallows, Wonka Bars, and Scrumdiddlyumptious all sound so mouth-wateringly good. Like the Gobstopper, you can still find Wonka Bars, but I doubt they were made by Oompa Loompas or mixed by waterfall.
The three-course meal gum was stuck in development when we were introduced to it. It's nice to think that if Willy Wonka were real, he would have perfected the chewing gum by now.
