When you think of chocolate what comes to mind? Is it Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? When this timeless film came out it led people all over the world scrambling in hopes to find a golden ticket inside their chocolate bar as of today no valid tickets have been found yet. Even with no tickets found, they did however come another remake of this movie. The title of the second movie is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. While comparing the two movies with similar scenes, one will know about the main character “Willy Wonka”, the music displayed, and the plot of the two films. Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory came out in 1971 and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory came out in 2005. Both Wonka’s resign in their speechless colorful, chocolate, candy filled factories. What is different in the two movies though is the acting displayed by the main characters themselves. Gene Wilder in the original had a more pleasant attitude, was more enthusiastic about the factory and all it had to offer, but when the kiddies start to act up, he uses expressions such as “help”, “Oh no”, “wait” when the kids vanish as they are being taken away. In both movies there is a “Charlie Buckett” and his grandfather. Five golden tickets around the world were sent out to be uncovered by five lucky children to come visit Mr. Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, with a guardian of some kind. The five kids: Veruca, Violet, Charlie, Augustus, and Mike all one way or another ended up receiving a golden ticket and visiting the factory. One way or another the kids did something they weren’t supposed to and were escorted out of the factory in quirky ways. The plot in the 1971 movie was for the last behaved child in the factory with their guardian was to receive a lifetime supply of chocolate.
