Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory Analysis

“I have got the golden ticket!” (Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, 1971). The joyous tune that will flow from your mouth after seeing the greatest family movie in at least a decade, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”. The film was produced by Emmy winning Mel Stuart, and, though a new genre for him to embark on, his excellence shines through as all the many aspects of the film come together to create a masterpiece. The novel and screenplay written by Roald Dahl truly takes on an image all of its own as it plays out on the screen. Dahl has created characters with depth, and a flow of events that are placed in the best way to string you as the viewer along with intrigue. You will find yourself attempting to predict the ending at times, but at other times completely wrapped up in the current event that the ending doesn’t pass your mind. The greatest part is that no matter the reason you think you have formulated for why Wonka has opened the factory doors you will be surprised at the end to find you were more than likely incorrect. Even better is how the ending is developed. You will be brought down to disappointment right before a feeling of excitement and relief with final scenes. Every age will find their own favorite parts to the plot, and be able to pick up different details. No person in your family will be bored for even a minute of the well-developed story. If you have not yet seen “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” then you are missing out. This film will go down in history as one of the greatest family films ever, and will be seen in people’s homes 20 years from now. Take the family to escape the hassles of everyday routine, and allow yourself to get lost in the magical land of Wonka’s Chocolate
