It all started when Willy stated “Gee Whiz! That's really something. I'm gonna knock Howard for a loop,kid” (Miller 74) he attempted to get a raise and get promoted to a office job. When he first bought his new house with his new wife, it represented stability. He was a great salesman and bringing home huge profits, he had a dream of starting his own business one day. However, many years later, he has 2 sons and his success in his job has been decreasing. He eventually got fired, his sons careers are not going well, he has been getting money from his neighbor and lying to his wife saying that it’s his commision.
