We are gathered here in honor of a great man, a great father and finally a great husband, his name is Willy Loman. I would like to begin with this poem;
“No one can know the potential, of a life that is committed to win; with courage - the challenge it faces, To achieve great success in the end! So, explore the Dimension of Greatness, and believe that the world CAN be won; by a mind that is fully committed, KNOWING the task can be done! Your world has no place for the skeptic, No room for the DOUBTER to stand; to weaken your firm resolution that you CAN EXCEL in this land! My dad was never one to show the slightest hint of fear rather he was the one to calm others down in times of distress and tell them not to worry. He was one to always follow his heart and chase his dreams, striving for wealth and success. He has taught me not to take anything for granted especially the lives of our loved ones. I…..I honestly don’t know where I would be without my father pushing me to be bold and well-liked, never to be afraid. I suppose one often takes things for granted, the most significant culprit being life itself. One moment you could be out working on your garden, and the next you could just be gone. Regret fills my heart; the only thought that keeps running through my mind is what if. What if I had been there for him, what if I had taken him upstairs and tucked him in that night, what if I had never left him alone. The only thing I don’t regret from that night is that I got to tell him I love him and that he left a happy man. Willy was a great father because not only did he believe in himself but also his boys. Without his support I don’t know what kind of a man I would be today. I remember one day Bernard came over and he was telling dad something, obviously insignificant and not about football, because dad kept
