Willow Chance: A Short Story

Willow Chance was living a happy, normal life, until she was forced to move to California. Willow was adopted and she is different, she is a genius. But at school when she make a perfect grade on a standardized test, her teachers did not think he was a genius instead they thought she was cheating. Willow was forced to see a counselor, his name was Dell Duke. At first Willow had hated going to Dell Duke until she met Mai and Quang- ha. Willow did not have any real friends until she met Mai, and she changed her world. Everytime Willow had a lesson she would go early to see Mai. One day after her lesson Mai, Willow, Quang-ha, and Dell Duke went out for ice cream, but things went terribly wrong after that. Dell Duke pulled up to drop off Willow …show more content…
Their garage house was not enough so they all moved into Dell Duke’s apartment, but when they first stepped into the room they found a pigsty! Pattie started cleaning she threw away trash, did laundry, got ride of his outside chairs, and replaced his furniture with real furniture. There was not enough space for Dell Duke so he went another apartment that he shared with another guy. At first it was a little weird, but after a couple weeks Willow was really enjoying living there. She even went to court so she could start a garden there and she did she made a big and beautiful garden with the help of her dads friends. Willow was finally beginning to be happy again, but the time came where she had to be put into foster care and maybe even adopted. Willow walked into the courtroom sad, for she had made a real family. Mai, her mom, Quang-ha, the taxi driver Jairo, and Dell Duke were all sitting in the room. The judge tells Willow that Pattie and Jairo have made a formal request to adopt Willow. Willow burst into tears, for now she has a family once again! Everyone’s lives were changed because of a little girl named Willow
