According to Dictionary.com the definition of a mascot is: An animal, person, or thing adopted by a group as its representative symbol and supposed to bring good luck. Willie the Wildcat shows this definition perfectly, which makes him perfect to be put in the Mascot Hall of Fame. The Mascot Hall of Fame will be made sometime in the next few years in Whiting, Indiana. Willie the Wildcat has been an important part of the United States history for over a century now, and has entertained millions of fans, which is why he should be in the hall of fame.

One way he does this is by showing kids how to do the KSU chant. He is also very good at entertaining the public, especially the youth at almost every K-State held sport event.
