In William Zinsser’s “How to Write a Memoir” it gives specific info for memoir writers. He says things like “Be yourself”, “Speak freely”, and “Tell your own story”. I “Soul Surfer” Bethany Hamilton does all these things. In “Soul Surfer” Bethany Hamilton is herself. She loves to surf and does her own thing. In the book it states (page 6) “…lots of girls agonize over what outfit to wear to school or on a date. Me? I always obsess over what bathing suit to put on for a surf.” She even plays other sports too! In the book it says (page 74) “…I played other sports too.
