Pressures Treatments Do you ever wonder why pressure seems to affect everyone in today's society? Everyone suffers from our high-speed lifestyle, but the people who suffer most are college students. According to William Zinnser's "College Pressures", we, students, mainly have the following four kinds of pressure: economic, family, peers and self-induced. Although I have not had to deal with parental pressure and self-induced pressure, I am overcoming peers pressure and financial pressure. For instance, I tried to make friends with my smart classmates and got helps from them to improve myself, I also tried to cut off some unnecessary expense while earn more money for my spare times. In the "college pressure" article said, "They live in brutal economy." Now the rent and tuition goes up, and the food became more and more expensive, as an independent student, without my parents' support, I had to do a full-time job to pay bills. Since my English is poor, I could only work in some low-income job, I am a part-time student and I have to balance work and school. For this reason, I have to think more ways to get more money and also get a good grade. In the long semester, I will choose about 8 units. In that way, I have times to read books, finish my homework and prepare well for the exams to get high GPA, maybe I can get some scholarships that will help me to finish my degree easier. In the summer and winner, I will focus on work, even the weekends to do some part-time jobs and make more money. When I get the salary, I will separate it into several parts, and one part is to a saving account, for emergency needs. Then I will make a list, showing what items I have to buy and what is unnecessary. To deal with my economic pressure, I have to work hard, study hard to get some financial help, I also need to know how to spend money in a smart way.
