Moreover, stating that highly educated African Americans does not have to deal or face the same discrimination and inequality of that as uneducated blacks but are offered the same opportunities as white educated individuals. Wilson is arguing that over time the competition between race and opportunities does not play a role in education and employment. More so saying that African Africans who holds the same educated as whites which to him is evidence that class more important because mobility is much more linked to education than race. My interpretation of Wilson argument is simply that as long as the African American individual is educated he or she has nothing to worry about in the labor market when it comes to having the same equality as a white educated individual. However, leaving out other important factors that may prohibit an African American from exceeding to a certain class. Racial profiling is when law enforcement targets individuals not based on their behaviors, but on their physical characteristics. These racial profiling has a lot to do with the current issue of police brutality that is happening in our society. There have tons of cases within the past decade where police have taking advantage of their authority and innocent black men have been killed. For instance, the case of Sean Bell back in 2006. It was the night before his wedding, him and three of his friends was leaving a strip club outside of Queens New York when police officers suspected that they had possessions of fire arms. Assuming that Bell and his three friends were carrying a gun, they fired 50 shots into their car. When Bell and his began to drive off to avoid being killed by the shots fired, other detectives arrived to scene firing more shots that killed unarmed Bell and putting the another two men in the hospital.
