UNFINSHED *CHILDHOOD*Wallace was born around Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland in 1270 CE to a landowning farmer of low, yet still aristocratic birth. Not much of Wallace’s childhood is known Before starting an uprising that changed a nation, Wallace spent his early life frequenting the English controlled town of Lanark. Braidfute attempts to escape and on the edge of the village is stopped. When Wallace is gone, she is tied up and has her neck slit. Upon hearing of this, Wallace gets a band of villagers together and sacks the village of Lanark, killing the Sheriff, William Heselrig, by slitting his throat. This related to the reality of what happened in the sense that both his wife and Heselrig were killed, but in the movie the sheriff was killed in the open with a small fight, rather than in his bed chamber after a very large
