William Thatcher is a courageous and an ambitious knight in the movie “The Knight’s Tale” who was born in the Cheapside borough of London and always dreamt of changing his stars. In this piece of writing, I will be talking about his courageous, ambitious and caring acts he did through the movie. William was born a peasant. At that time in London, if you were born in a peasant you stayed a peasant for your entire life or if you were born a royal you would be a royal for your entire life. But William, he was a dreamer. He always dreamt of changing his stars. He always dreamt of becoming a knight even though it was proven impossible to be a peasant knight until William made it possible for himself. He stayed positive and had high hopes of changing his future. Once he got the place as a knight, whatever came, he faced the challenge and didn’t quit. Even though he had barely any money for his training he came up with ways with his squires to train himself. From the start to the end he didn’t stop. When Count Adhemar found his true identity and all the people around suggested that he runs away so he can’t get caught; he rejected them all and still went on the field to face him. The last joust in the tournament William had with count Adhemar was very tough. He was severely injured and without his armor but he didn’t quit until he beat Adhemar at the end.
