Those who have seen the ghost seemed worried about Prince Hamlet’s reaction to the information that he would receive. I think that if they would have decided to be dishonest with Hamlet is would have come back to haunt them. After Hamlet finds out about his father’s ghost he becomes eager to seek him out. Once the late King Hamlet appears, he tells Prince Hamlet the truth about his death. The late King explains that he had been murdered, in fact he was killed by the hands of his own brother the New King Claudius. When Hamlet says, “I am very proud, revengeful, ambitious; with more offences at my beck than I have thoughts to put them in, imagination to give them shape, or time to act them in. What should such fellows as I do, crawling between earth and heaven?” (Shakespeare) This suggests that Hamlet is uncertain because he does not have enough evidence to make decision whether or not if Claudius is guilty or not. In many of Hamlet’s dramatic monologues, Hamlet has individual conversation with himself and questions his own verdict at many times during the film. I believe that Hamlet’s disastrous weakness was his inability to make a firm choice. There's a well-known scene in "Hamlet" where he's about to kill Claudius but then stops because Claudius is praying. This strongly suggests that Hamlet could have chosen to not kill Claudius but his indecisiveness would not allow him. Though people think of Hamlet as uncertain and measured, it is worth noting that beating around the bush does not take the place of the emptiness of his
