Shortly after he says this his friend, Horatio, enters with two guards, Marcellus and Bernardo, and they tell Hamlet about how they saw his father as an apparition the night before. Hamlet questions them to see if it was his father that they had really seen; after, Hamlet decides to stand on guard with them the next night to see if this ghost they spoke if would appear again so that he could speak to it. King Claudius asks them to figure out why Hamlet is going crazy and they tell the King that they will do whatever they can to help out. When they go to see Hamlet, Hamlet asks for them to retreat inside because he is starting to lose his mid. Hamlet sees through this trick though and asks them why the King and Queen would send for them. They try to fake that they were just visiting him, but he tells them that they are showing guilt on their faces. They tell Hamlet that they were sent for and Hamlet tells them that they were sent because he has recently lost his appetite for entertainment and doesn’t care about anything anymore. Hamlet and his “friends” go on to talk about other things. So in this scene many might say that there is no sign of revenge, but if looked at carefully and analytically some might see that Hamlet can see through the lies of the others and is going to watch them and use how they act to his advantage to get his revenge on the
