Romeo and Juliet is thought of as one of the greatest and tragic love stories of all time. The couple came from families, the Montagues and the Capulets, that were both extremely well off, however, the families had been feuding for many years for a reason that is unknown to the audience, therefore no matter how much they longed to be with one another it was forbidden. In Act 2 Scene 2 lines 176-185 in the edition of the play that was edited by James N. Loehlin, we learn a lot about the type of couple Romeo and Juliet would have ended up being, if they would have been allowed to be together, through the writing and the dramatic interpretations of the play. This can be seen in this passage by the way that every letter at the beginning of a line begins with an upper case letter. The lovers do this in scenes that they are in together as well as those that they are not, so it is not a form of speaking that they only use with one another, but how they were raised to articulate their thoughts. Pros on the other hand is spoken by those in a lower class, unless they are proclaiming their love for someone, then they might likely speak in verse as well. Although the writing was done in a way that was supposed to control the way that the actors portrayed the role, many performers say the lines in a way that could change the entire meaning of a single word. My first difference I noticed between the movie and the play was the choice of weapons. In the play the characters fought with swords but in the movie they had guns. This is important because since there was a difference in time period from the movie to the play they had to switch the swords for guns.also the important e of switching the weapons of choice was because swords are more dangerous, when you had a sword you had to be t close range to kill r even fight somebody whereas the guns you just had to have good aimed you didn't have to worry about getting into close fights. Another reason there was a change in the choice of weapons was because n the Elizabethan era they didn't have the knowledge or the technology to make the guns. The weapons of choice is a big difference but the major scene of Juliet faking her death changed lot more due to the fact hat the movie is directed by omens different than the play.…

This example helps to develop that Romeo has become so committed to his wife Juliet, that he will kill himself if he cannot see her, which current events would suggest that to be the case. This could impute that Romeo may actually love Juliet rather than just feel lust for her, because it is unlikely that Romeo would commit suicide over a girl he did not actually love. Earlier in the story, when he was lovesick over Rosaline, he never once mentioned suicide or thoughts of wanting to die. Yet, Rosaline was a woman who he described as being a goddess, something that would conjure up thoughts of lust, but he never got upset enough to even mention…

Shakespears’ use of figurative language in 2.2.1-32 shows that Romeo is not an authentic admirer but instead an immature and overdramatic young man. How can Romeo and Juliet be a romance if they were doomed from the start? Romeo and Juliet is more of a tragedy than a romance because their relationship was kept secret, they were not able to love each other to their full potential and they both commit suicide at the end due to a misunderstanding caused by one mistake. The first reason Romeo and Juliet is more of a tragedy than a romance is because they kept their relationship a secret. Because the Capulets and Montagues were enemies, Romeo and Juliet thought it was best to keep their love for each other and marriage hidden.…
