Juliet and the Nurse share a strong connection, proven by how the Nurse is the only person aware of Romeo and Juliet 's marriage, and the Nurse 's advice is what encourages Juliet to marry Romeo. the Nurse values her family, shown by how even though Juliet and Romeo and is also seen delivering messages between the two lovers, and shows true loyalty, and devotion to Juliet. Whenever Juliet has any problems, the first person she would consult would be the Nurse. So after many years together, the Nurse and Juliet both forged a bond that was never to be broken. That is until, Act III, Scene V, when Juliet was ordered by Capulet to marry Paris, and she asked the Nurse for help, the Nurse who usually promotes love, and being with the person who you actually love, instead told Juliet that, marry Juliet should marry Paris, and the once strong bond they both shared was shattered in an instance. The influence it had on Juliet was that after the betrayal of her only support, she gained trust issues, proven by her speech before she drank the potion, Juliet felt scared and was going to call the Nurse for reassurance, but instead put her faith towards her and Romeo 's love. After hearing Juliet 's consent to marry Paris, Capulet is very happy, and is loving of Juliet. Lord Capulet only feels this way, because he benefits more from the marriage her daughter does. This influences Juliet to make horrible decisions, that leads to even worse consequences, because her father is not understanding of her true feelings, and is blinded by power, that being open minded with him is impossible, without him lashing out at her for being selfish, or unappreciative. Juliet becomes more and more desperate to avoid the marriage while trying to find a way to live with Romeo simultaneously.
