Although Romeo and Juliet is confusing to people being all about love, it is considered mostly a tragedy to romance. Romeo and Juliet is about two families (Montague and Capulet) who are long-time rivals and fight each other constantly in the city of Verona. In these two families the son of Montague, Romeo and the daughter of Capulet, Juliet fall in love at first sight despite their parents hating each other. They love each other so much that they get secretly married by Friar Lawrence. Many conflicts and problems start to appear as the Montague and Capulet rivalry rages and more death starts to occur with very close family members of each side with Romeo caught responsible. Romeo is banished leaving his new wife alone. After a planned marriage with the County Paris, Juliet takes a potion of sleepiness to make her family that she is dead and she can be with Romeo. However once the message of death is received to Romeo before the plan is he kills himself, and when Juliet wakes up and finds that he is dead she does the same thing. This romantic start and sad ending has many people in the play who are responsible for these tragedy events. The lovers Romeo and Juliet are not just the innocent couple in the story. Their actions have caused many preventable deaths and unnecessary decisions. When Romeo attends a Capulet party where he meets Juliet for the first time and falls in love with her instantly.
