"Romeo! Romeo! Where art thou Romeo" (2.2.32). This is a very famous quote said by Juliet that is often asked during the Tragedy by Shakespeare. Paris and Romeo, from Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, were both lovers but when it came to it they fought for what they loved: Juliet; Their dedication to Juliet, Marriage Decisions, and personal characteristics made both of their fates coincidentally similar. Romeo and Paris were both very dedicated and in love with Juliet. While standing outside Juliet’s window Romeo catches a glimpse of Juliet and exclaims with joy: "O, speak again, bright angel! For thou art / as glorious to this night, o 'er my head / as a winged messages of heaven" (2.2.25- 32). Romeo sees Juliet as an angel who …show more content…
While Juliet sees that she also sees their personal traits. While Romeo is still upset about his unsuccessful relationship with Rosaline he is ranting to all of the people around him with some philosophical questions: "Why, such is love’s transgression / Griefs of mine own lie heavy in my breast / Which thou wilt propagate, to have it pressed / With more of thine. This love that thou hast shown / Doth add more grief to too much of mine own / Love is a smoke raised with the fume of sighs / Being purged, a fire sparkling in lovers ' eyes / Being vexed, a sea nourished with loving tears / What is it else? A madness most discreet" (1.1.176-185). Many of Romeos personality traits are based on his impulsiveness and eagerness to love. While in his "Post- Rosaline" depression Romeo is asking what it is love, why is it so painful, and it comes with too much sadness. He eventually ends with saying love is "a madness most discreet". All of his personality traits base on one thing: his lover. In the case of Romeo and Rosaline, Romeo was a very depressed and sad person. This was because Romeo was giving love to Rosaline and getting nothing in return. But with Juliet was very happy and his "old self". Although Paris has some of the same characteristics he isn 't as open with them. Paris has very strong feelings for Juliet, but he doesn 't show them until after her death. As he is visiting her grave for the first time he has to suddenly leave "The boy gives warning something doth approach / What cursed foot wanders this way tonight / To cross my obsequies and true love’s rite / What with a torch! Muffle me, night, awhile / (5.3.19-22)." Paris doesn 't want to leave but he feels he cannot be seen there either. He speaks of his true love (Juliet) and doesn 't want to leave her. Before he showed that he was very mature (asking parents for permission to marry Juliet), and by letting Juliet be her own person and

He had compared her to “(Insert what Romeo said about Rosaline)” All those words seem to capture the physical aspect of Rosaline and nothing about her as a person. The tragedy, Romeo and Juliet conveys that love is the answer to everything, but also the end to it all. Although Romeo and Juliet are star crossed lovers, their parents will never allow them to be, as the Capulets and Montagues have long since had a loathing towards each other. Love in Romeo and Juliet is a ruthless, effective feeling that catches people and slings them against their world, and, now and again, against…
