The first of the three different ways that the authors used to show this theme is foreshadowing. Primarily I will be focusing on Flowers For Algernon, and I will talk about Romeo and Juliet in a separate paragraph following this one. The most apparent “foreshadowing“ is the story Prologue, but that doesn’t one hundred percent work. The prologue doesn’t exactly hint at what will happen in the story, it just flat out tells you the events of the play.
