Mass destruction, poverty and crimes, these are the results of corruption. When we allow corruption to win, we turn to lose justice. Power does not corrupt us, it is fear that corrupts us, so Perhaps the fear of a loss of power leads to corruption. King Hamlet was a powerful ruler, who kept his nation strong, flawless and clean. Throughout Hamlet’s play, which is by William Shakespeare, a corrupting disease plagues within Denmark and its people. Out of evil, deceit and corruption came the dirty marriage between Gertrude and Claudius and the murdering of King Hamlet. The direct fall of Denmark and the castle where as result of Polonius, Claudius, Ophelia and Hamlet’s corruption. At the end of the play, Denmark and the castle were both taken …show more content…
Claudius want to inherit the throne. Claudius, then took over the throne and marries Gertrude, the deceased King’s wife. Everyone believes King Hamlet was killed by a snake, except for Prince Hamlet who was told the truth by his father 's ghost. Gertrude has a son with the murdered king, who’s name was Hamlet. The ghost of his father, King Hamlet appears to warn Prince Hamlet about the corruption in Elsinore and Hamlets needs to avenge his murder, so Prince Hamlet made a vow to kill his uncle who was the current King. As time went by Prince Hamlet pretend to be crazy, in order to push everyone away including Ophelia, his girlfriend. He then ordered a play enacting his father’s murder. Laertes’s father Polonius, was killed by Hamlet in the Queen Gertrude’s room. He was hiding behind the tapestry when he made a sound, Hamlet thought it was Claudius so he rans through the tapestry with his word, killing Polonius. Claudius sent Osric who was the courtier to bring Hamlet an invitation to participate in a duel with Laertes. He then tells the bet the King made on his behalf in a contest between Hamlet and Laertes. When Osric told Hamlet about the invitation to duel Laertes, Horatio knew something was wrong. He tries to convince Hamlet not to go but Osric made it known that if Hamlet doesn 't go he will be seen as coward. After Osric left Hamlet talked to Horatio about the sparrow and how death will come to men sooner or later, if he doesn 't die now, he will eventually die, if he doesn 't die in the future, he will surely die now, the readiness is all.
