William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright, and actor, but he was mainly famous for his poetry and plays. His had written a lot in his time, some of his work included around 38 plays, 2 narrative poems, a sequence of sonnets, and lots of small poems, here and there. His work has become international, his work is known and read world wide (“Shakespeare, William 1564-1616”).
