It is believed that William Shakespeare had a grammar school level of education, however the King’s New School in Stratford-upon-Avon was considered to be excellent and primarily taught young men Latin grammar and literature. William and his family were Protestants; a protestant is a member or follower of any of the Western Christian churches that are separate from the Roman Catholic Church. William Shakespeare was baptized on April 26, 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire in the Holy Trinity Church. William got married at the age of 18 to Anne Hathaway in the year 1582. They had three children together, their daughter Susanna (1583), their son Hamnet (who died during early childhood), and their daughter Judith. Hamnet and Judith were fraternal twins and were born in the year 1585. In 1593 Shakespeare became a published poet. He started making a living as a principal actor, dramatist and shareholder. His plays became very popular among high society. His career spanned about twenty years.
