Someone can become an agent of evil by succumbing to bystander apathy and ending up not helping someone who may need help. A great example of this was in Article 4. The lady who was helping the man who had been injured, was asking a man to borrow his coat. In response to the question the man replied, “‘No,’” (McCartney). The two books showed that hating a group of people to an extreme measure can make you an agent of evil. The articles showed they could become agents of evil because they inflict pain on someone or through bystander apathy. Through all of the ways that people become agents of evil, they are all different in their own ways. Some people become an agent of evil by accident, while others do it subconsciously. As the old Hannah Montana song said, “Everybody makes mistakes”, and that is most definitely true.
