William Martinez Character

The movie Battle Los Angeles has one of the most inspiring fictional characters there is. He is not some superhero that can’t die, he is an American soldier. He fights off the face of evil and in the end dies protecting his squad and his country. Even though it is just movie it is inspiring to see a character that doesn’t have a magic super power, all he has is his courage, his fellow marines, and his intelligence. Lieutenant Martinez lead his marines into a fight with alien combatants filling the Los Angeles area all heavily armed and hard to kill. Martinez knows that he can die he isn’t invulnerable to everything and anything, but he has the courage and bravery to go out into the battle and do what he can. He is inspiring going out to defend the country he loves and the people he cares about, he goes into the middle of the fighting trying to save civilian lives. I love the way they base his character off of real people because it is comforting to know that there are real people in this world willing to stand up and fight because they have the courage to do so. He is willing to sacrifice himself to save his friends. In the fictional movie he blows up a bus to stop the advance of the alien combatants through the streets of Los Angeles. He stops the aliens by sacrificing his life for the great good of the people. He knows that if he doesn’t sacrifice himself that the marines that are under his command might die and that their mission might not be a success. Lieutenant Martinez is not some magic nonsense superhero that can fight for himself and win he is a regular human with regular weaknesses, he know that to live he needs to fight with his marines so together they can overcome the enemy and eliminate the
