The most savage act that was committed was when Jack’s tribe kills the pig and then puts the pig's head on a stick. On page 136, golding describes “Jack held up the head and jammed its soft throat down on the pointed end of the stick which pierced through into the mouth.” This quote shows that Jack is turning into the evil form of himself and he is losing himself because a normal human being would never turn into a violent, savage like creature unless the person’s mind has unraveled into a state of mind of violence and survival.
