It is unfortunate that in our world many humans fail to love and fall victim to the many evils of this life. I believe that humans are bad because they are motivated by power and thus they become blood thirsty to acquire and retain it.
William Golding’s novel Lord of the Flies shows that humans are malicious through the murder of Simon (pg. 202). Simon was the outsider of the group and very spiritual. He often wandered off by himself to meditate. Simon is brutally beaten and killed by the group of boys who believe he is the beast (pg.202). One can assume the group was certainly frightened seeing a figure coming out of the forest at dusk yelling. Jack rose to power playing on the fear of the beast as this strength. Since he was a hunter he told the group how bad and scary the beast is and that he would

He also allows his characters to be analyzed and be predicted. The three characters I believe he describes deeply are Jack, Piggy, and Ralph. One character Golding uses in his story is Jack.…

The most savage act that was committed was when Jack’s tribe kills the pig and then puts the pig's head on a stick. On page 136, golding describes “Jack held up the head and jammed its soft throat down on the pointed end of the stick which pierced through into the mouth.” This quote shows that Jack is turning into the evil form of himself and he is losing himself because a normal human being would never turn into a violent, savage like creature unless the person’s mind has unraveled into a state of mind of violence and survival.…

While on the other side, Jean-Jacques Rousseau believes that it all depends on what kind of environment you are in. There was an experiment held based on Stanley Milgram’s views on how humans reacted when a high position of authority commanded you to do something.…
