This article is about how children from different countries, and of different ages determine what is fair. The scientist that worked on the experiment concluded that societal influences had an effect on what the children decided to do with the skittles. This relates to Lord of the Flies because the society from which the boys lived in affected their behavior on the island. Also, they had to adapt and their ideals of fairness changed once they had to live on the island. For example, once they get to the island the standards of what is right or wrong changes.
