Chapter One
“Wake up!” Owen jolted from his sleep. “I told you I needed these papers filed and reported on by the end of the day! I expect that to be done! Get to work!” Owen’s boss was tenacious. And for good reason too. Wednesday was filing day, a rather boring and pointless job. Despite falling asleep occasionally on the job, Owen was an amazing and productive employee. The only reason for his lack of sleep was because he was up all night doing extra surveys for his boss.
Even though Mr. Peters certainly didn’t show it, he certainly appreciated Owen’s work. In fact, he was just getting ready to reveal that Owen would be getting a promotion.
Right before it was time for everyone to head home, Mr.Peters called Owen into his office.
“Owen,

No. Michigan,” he responded.
They talked all night. This is what Owen had been waiting for his entire life. He connected with her. He couldn’t put his finger on it, but there was something special about her.

Chapter Five Eventually, Owen and Hope became really good friends. Over time, Owen finally confessed his love for Hope. He had been waiting for her his whole life. He absolutely and truly loved her. One night, they took a walk alongside the Hudson River waterfront. It was a beautiful night. It seemed like every single star in the sky was visible for the world to see. They walked for a little bit until Owen stopped hope and started to tell her something.
“Hope, before you came into my life, I didn’t know where I was going. But with you, everything is so vibrant and vivid. And now, I finally see the beauty in life. I love you. I love you with all of my heart.” Owen got down on one knee and revealed a little black jewelry box. He opened it and inside was a magnificent ring.
“Will you marry me?” Owen asked. “Yes, yes, yes! I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Everybody helping was lining the pews with flowers, draping the altar with different garments, and much more. This was a group effort and everyone was so excited about the wedding. Owen got to meet a lot of Hope’s family. They were rather excentric. But, Owen enjoyed them and they were great company.
It was now getting close to wedding time. All the groomsmen were getting ready and all of the bridesmaids were getting ready. Owen talked with his groomsman and spent some time with them. He gave a speech to show how much he appreciated them.
“All of the guys here have played a significant role in my life. You were the people that I would come to in times of confusion, chaos, or just plain trouble. Even though I may have never showed it, I appreciate each and every one of you greatly. Now that my wedding day is here, it seems like it’s all gone by so quickly. If there is one thing that has stood out from what that beautiful lady I’m marrying today has taught me, it’s to not take anything for granted. Yes, that includes everything. Your job, in-laws,” everybody laughed, “siblings, the tough times, the good times and everything else. I love all of you guys too much to see life pass you

I believe that Owen voice is one distressed over the war and what it brought to the soldiers. Owen uses imagery to describe the exhaustion by telling the reader that they were limping and dragging their feet. He saw and smelt the clouds of gas, he saw the effects of the gas from hearing a seemingly sick man yelling, coughing and choking on blood. He uses simile by comparing the soldiers to old beggars and comparing the coughing soldiers to sick, old people.…

After an hour I get out to find him, my boss, waiting. His hair is slicked to the side and he wears a three piece suit. The look on his pale, icy eyes tells everything. “You don’t need to be such a wuss,” he said. You’re not the one who killed the whole team, I think, but I decided against saying that aloud.…

Deanna, leggy, beautiful, and daring, came a long way from a rugged childhood and the time of liquor bottles aimed at her mother’s head. So said a Washington Post reporter in 2008, “Councilwoman Deanna Flin is a fresh face and a breath of fresh air in D.C. politics.” In the eyes of her colleagues (boozing old school boys with potty mouths and potbellies), she personified Hillary Clinton, the little engine that would, if she could, overturn the political status quo. “Too big for her britches,” said one, which struck Deanna as funny, but not in the ha-ha-ha way.…

A Wedding is a Wedding – Or is It? From the time we are very young, and throughout our entire lives, most of us have been invited to and attended wedding ceremonies. What I had never considered was the very real possibility that perhaps the wedding celebration experience that I had come to expect when one of those intricately printed invitations found its way to my mailbox would not necessary be the experience that would ensue upon my arrival to said ceremony.…
