Wildlife Biologist, Bay Area Puma Project.
1) Job description
Contribute to the Bay Area Puma Project research by collecting and analyzing puma ecology data, in order to develop models of occupancy, habitat suitability, and permeability.
2) General duties
General duties include: a) camera traps sampling design and data analysis b) applying GIS techniques and noninvasive field methods for puma ecology research c) contribute to the data entry, data analysis, and report writing d) assisting field sampling activities include the following: setting the camera traps and hair snares, organizing technical equipment, collecting bait and baiting trap sites for puma captures, assisting in trapping and collaring pumas.
3) Specific deliverables:
