Wild Stallion Salon: A Narrative Fiction

Improved Essays
Jake rounded the corner by the General Store and squinted, facing into the dust. He looked toward the Wild Stallion Saloon, his hand tense on the reins. Would he ever see Kat again—tell her he loved her?
Pointing his Colt at Rodriguez, he tightened his legs against Red’s sides, and the horse broke into a trot.
Rodriguez thrust his heels against his horse’s hide. The animal dug its hooves into the dirt and burst forward.
Both men fired. Jake’s shots landed wide, one hitting his enemy’s horse. Horse and rider went down.
Jake holstered his gun and leaped from his saddle. As he slammed to the ground, he caught Rodriguez’s gun arm. The revolver tore loose from his hand and skittered across the dirt.
In seconds, the men sprang to their feet.

The American Revolution was undoubtedly one of the best examples in American history to show the ability of a nation’s people grouping up together to rise and defeat an insufficient government.
