When a wildfire is in motion you should turn on a battery operated radio to get latest emergency information. If you have a ladder to try to prop it against your house so you and firefighters can get onto the roof. Turn on a light in each room in your house for visibility incase smoke gets in your house. Close all doors and windows, but make sure not to lock them. Open or take down flammable drape and curtains. Move all your upholstered furniture away from windows and sliding glass doors. Turn off air conditioning/air circulation systems and back your car and leave the keys in the ignition. Be ready to leave immediately and evacuate all family members and pets when told to do so. Get your whole family first, but if possible, save your pets
