Wikipedia's Weaknesses

Even in the digital age, for most people, access to information is still difficult. Fortunately, Wikipedia presented itself as an information-sharing platform. However, Wikipedia has its weaknesses. Anyone, registered or not, can edit Wikipedia with little restrictions. While this approach preserves the collaborative nature of Wikipedia, some subpar quality work, at times downright vandalism, influx into Wikipedia. To combat this, some users have to patrol the community. I am one such patroller. Facing an insurmountable volume of new edits, twenty patrollers monitor new edits and issue a pass or fail. At least 30% of the new edits require us to fact check, such as a person’s birth date or spouse’s name. Other, more mischievous edits range from
