Together with my husband and twin boys, we spent three and a half years exploring the world as a family on our sailing catamaran "Por Dos", from June 2012 to November 2015. We had fantastic experiences on our adventure exploring the culture and countries of the Atlantic, Caribbean, Mediterranean and South Pacific. During those three and a half years I home-schooled my twin sons through grades 6, 7 and 8. I will describe in detail my experience on developing the curricula and my teaching grades for my sons for those three grades and how those experiences align with QCE standards in the PLP task 2 at the end of this year. For this PLP task, I have chosen the following activities:
WFE: Coaching two children from two cruising families on literacy and numeracy skills needed for their English and Maths exams in grade 6 and 8.
Site of WFE: Neiafu Island, Tonga

I also reviewed with them the basics of numeracy operations and literacy basics such as the forms of speech in the English language. I promoted high expectations for both children regarding their literacy and numeracy development providing them with a variety of resources for them to continue their numeracy and literacy advancement during their cruising
