However, the main point is colleges should produce writers who can actually use writing as a source for their future jobs and the questions is how can they do that? For example, I want to major in biology. Even though I major in biology, writing would be important to become more successful in my future career. One good way would be giving students an assignment where they require them to write papers on subjects of their choice that have something to do with biology. Since they can choose their own topics, it would help them to get more interested in writing. Also, scientists use the scientific research essay as a communication. If you improve your writing skill in scientific research papers, it would provide the readers with better understand of your work and its significance. Another example is writing or communication is essential across engineering. Some people might wonder why writing would be important for engineers. Lacking in communication skills can inhibit an engineer’s ability to get a job at some large technology companies. To prevent this, colleges should provide a course in technical writing where it helps them to write clearly and accurately. Most people know that it is very …show more content…
Wrong grammars and making mistakes on writing would make readers to get less interested in writing. This is why some people would prefer colleges providing programs where it focuses more on grammars. People might say that writing skills wouldn’t be used a lot in some of their future careers. This is because some careers might not use writing often as others. However, great writing doesn’t mean perfect grammar. Great writing really means how writers could really tell the main point of writing and make some common connections between writers and readers.
