Based on measures of effective teaching I believe that these women are effective teachers. An example as to why they are effective teachers in my opinion is when one teacher was going to read the book in English and the other in Spanish. By doing these they were ensuring that all the students were able to understand the story. In addition to the reading of the book they also were effective in how they continued throughout the entire lesson using new vocabulary over and over. Doing this it ensure that the students who are learning English are having a chance to understand and practice this new vocabulary.
