Why do people think pitbulls are so dangerous? Why do they want them banned from the country? Maybe the reason they attack people is because they are trained poorly or maybe people forced them to do bad things for their own biding. Yes, it's true that pitbulls can sometimes be detrimental but they can also be loyal, caring, and they generally love people. Pit bulls should be allowed to stay with their owners and the owners should be responsible and respectful to their dogs.

Pitbulls can be dangerous, vicious, they bite a lot, and can even kill people. A lot of people want pitbulls to be banned, I think that they shouldn’t be banned. The reason why I think this is because one pitbulls aren’t the only type of dogs that hurt or kill people. There are many types of dogs that hurt people, an example will be a Boerboels. Boerboels have strong watch and guard dog instincts and are fearless and extremely protective of their people. They can be dangerously aggressive when threatened or

When the first pit bulls came to America by English and Irish immigrants, they were a respected breed”. Also in the Blog it says that “They were kept as hunters and guardians, as well as herders and pets” .PitBulls loved their owners and will do anything to protect them. One thing that I disagree with is that in the Newspaper Editorial source four it said that “New outlets consistently tell animal control officers that they will not cover a dog attack unless the situation was caused by a pit bull ” .
I think that this is unfair because one there are many other types of dogs that are dangerous and that hurt people, and the animal officers won’t attend to the problem. What if someone died and they didn’t attend to it? It also says that “They intentionally over-report incidents involving pit bulls, while keeping silent on attacks committed dogs with better reputation such as labradors”.It's not their fault that they bite people it’s their

Pitbulls are beautiful in their variety, but their most appealing features are their inner qualities. Strength, confidence, a sense of humor and a zest for life are all hallmarks of the breed. They also tend to be sensitive and get their feelings hurt easily (“Reflecting on Pit Bulls - Whatever they are!”. Badrap.org.). Showing that the dog has feelings and that it has a sense of emotions give people a soft spot for these dogs.…

The answer leads to media. The media is the cause of the fear about Pit Bulls. They created the impression that these dogs are harmful and makes the public believe that they’re the only dogs that attack. It states in Source #4, “Despite the fact that other breeds of dogs can and do attack people, these incidents go unmentioned, even at the local level. The media intentionally over-reports incidents involving Pit Bulls, while keeping silent on attacks committed by dogs with better reputation, such as labradors.”…

The total ban on the Pit Bull breed in Ontario is unacceptable because the government shouldn’t be targeting just the one breed because of the actions of several individual dogs, Pit Bulls shouldn’t be treated differently from other breeds, and if the government is already banning a whole breed, what is going to stop them from banning a bunch of other breeds that have the same attack numbers. "Pit bulls are the least likely to be human aggressive. On the whole, you have to do a lot of work to make them aggressive to people" (Sue Frisch). This quote literally explains why pit bulls are the way that they are, not because they are savage but because their owners are. Hopefully the pit bull ban is revisited because it is an abomination and seems very…

Most myths regarding pit bulls are based in fear, and almost all of them are proven fallacies. Pit bulls are not the only breed of dog that can have negative, aggressive tendencies based on its upbringing and other circumstances, but certainly an attack on an animal or a person by a pit bull is much more likely to be reported on the news, resulting in the creation of a bad reputation for pit bulls everywhere. Unfortunately, it is this belief that has caused some areas to put out bans on the entire breed. Not until people realize that any animal, even a pit bull, can be a very gentle, kind-hearted partner for life simply by raising the animal in the correct way, will pit bulls finally be rid of the negative and unfair reputation surrounding their…

Banning Pit Bulls Doesn’t Solve the Problem Pit bulls are vicious animals and should not be pets, but let’s look at what they were really bred for. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, (ASPCA) Pitbull’s were bred for bull-baiting and bear-baiting. They were bred to hold these large animals by the face in the United Kingdom. When this had become illegal in the late 1800s, people decided a new fate for these companions, which was fighting.…

What the media targets are only things that would come to a shock or surprise to the society and the problem with this is that the media is not always correct about they say because they focus on one side of the story and what they see, what they leave out is cause of the situation or the background of it.
