There were several Wars having to include weapons and force against each other. However, there were certain weapons that people were biased to either use or not use. In the War against Japan, the US was debating to drop the atomic bomb. There are three main arguments why they should and three why they shouldn’t. Japan was an enemy to the United States at one point. The United States believed in dropping the atomic bomb in Japan. One reason was the bomb saved American lives. People believed it was necessary to end the war as soon as possible. Ending the War early would prevent the number of deaths. The number of deaths were extremely ranking high. There were a various of American soldiers, navy, and military people dying. For this reason, the Unites States wanted to end it as soon as possible. Diverse people predicted that the invasion of the Japanese mainland would cost over 1 million American lives and cost a greater amount of Japanese lives. It is an endless discussion. As a result, I do go for the bomb. I find it more reasonable because it helped the United States in plenty ways. Not only did it help the US, but it also helped the Japanese. The bomb was never for negative intentions. It was to keep peace and to end the War. The US wanted to end the war quickly without costing the lives of soldiers. So, the president agreed to drop the bombs. It made the Japanese surrender because they knew that if they continued the war they could not win. Yes, it is a bad that innocent people died in the atomic bombings, but it could have been worse. Japan was given a clear warning and the US did try to let them surrender. In addition, they had a chance to back down, but they wanted to keep going which is why it was
