Dropping out of High School is a Mistake Do you want to work at McDonald’s all your life? If so, drop out of high school. Dropping out of high school is bad for you in the long run. People who drop out of high school normally do not get a well-paying occupation. You also get temptations of bad choices, you do not get the high school experience, and you would lose contact with your friends. You also could not participate in the extra-curricular activities, which makes you a more well-rounded person. Dropping out of high school is a bad decision that could negatively affect your future life.
The first reason why you should not drop out of high school is because people who drop out of school normally do not have a strong work ethic. They don’t like school, so they just quit. There are many push and pull factors that may cause a student to drop out. A few may be getting a job, failing, missed too many days, or could not keep up with the school work ("Why... Out."). They claim “I know enough already.” They decide to get a job instead of furthering their education. Getting a job sooner would help you earn money sooner, but you would make less than what you would earn is you got a high school diploma. Getting a high school degree is what could help you earn more money in the long run. Another objection is missing too many days of school. Teachers try to help you. They are willing to stay after school, or come in early to help you catch up. If you only miss school for valid reasons, they will understand and help you.
