Cell phones have always been a hot topic with students, parents and faculty staff. Due to the many complications in how things can go bad, many people steer away from the topic. Although students are always cheering on the idea due to the many other school systems pro for cell phones during school. With cell phones coming a long way from only a few particular people to any everyday person having one. With the more use of phones, problems have arisen from that.

With this being said cell phone can also contribute to cheating. Although not all students cheat, there is always that one student that has to ruin everything for everyone. With cell phones, cheating can become bigger of a problem than it is now. Cell phones give a chance for students to not only look up the questions, but a chance to share a whole assignment and even a test. Answers can be distributed through text message, social media, and even found online.

Cell phones have been a source for making friends through social media and text. A kind comment, a personal message that makes your day. But what about the other side, the rude comments, the insults, and the rumors posted online for everyone to see. Social media gives a chance for students to get targeted with not much of a way to get out of the situation due to it being posted for everyone to see and to contribute to the aggression. With cell phones, students have more ways to bully someone, in person by selecting and singling out students that do not have the latest phone out on the market.

In conclusion, like with any subject, there is going to be a pros and cons. With cell phones at school, the many pros include being able to be connected in case of an emergency and for educational purposes.
