I think phones should be allowed in school, we may not have to be on them all the time but we should at least be able to have them incase we need to call someone or if we have free time in a class we could play games, listen to music, or use google, dictionary.com, and an example of is our history book is online and at school sometimes there’s not enough chromebooks or Ipads. Mobile devices are kind of like a drug that children, teens, and young adults can’t seem to put down and that’s not always a good thing. The reason this isn’t always a good thing is because some kids don’t go outside and play, hang out with friends or know how the real world works, most kids would rather play video games and be in a virtual world. The kids that are so addicted to electronics end up nowhere because they don’t know how to deal with real people in life. In article #1 it says “ Lets turn this into a learning device and maybe eventually teens will see it more than just a device for entertainment.”…

Phones in class distract other students. If a ringtone goes off for a call or text while students testing or working on an assignment, it causes them to lose attention on their work. If a phone turns on when the lights turn off, the light from the phone distracts students and people in the room. If the phone makes any sound it draws attention from students. This one reason proves phones allowed in classes lead to bad things because they attract attention.…

It is often argued that cell phones should get banned from schools. To begin, students could get bullied because they are obese. They can get obese because they sit down all day on their phones, (Source 4). In this case, if some students are sitting on their phone all day they won’t necessarily get obese because there is no difference from sitting down all day on their cell phones than sitting in class doing work because they are still sitting down and they are still not exercising because they are doing absolutely nothing in school. It is the parents problem if they are on their phones all day when they get home and not at school.…
