Why We Shouldn T Animal Testing Be Banned

It is estimated that more than 100 million animals worldwide are used in experiments each year. Animal testing is a big problem in today’s world because there are so many animals are being abused in labs and hurt for even killed every year. If you get caught once it’s a warning, if you get caught twice it’s a fine, and if you get caught three times it’s jail time. If animal testing isn’t banned, animals will start to die off from cruelty or diseases.
Animal testing must be stopped or decreased dramatically because the number of animals being tested is an insane amount and the items being used is unbelieveable. “More than 100 million animals are poisoned, burned, crippled, and abused in other ways in U.S. labs each year.” “U.S. law does not require animal testing for cosmetics, but it does not prohibit it either, so in laboratories nationwide, thousands of animals are suffering and dying to test beauty products and ingredients. Mice, rabbits, rats and guinea pigs have substances forced down their throat, dripped into their eyes or smeared onto their skin, usually without pain relief.” Animals should have the same rights as humans because they are also living. There is no reason to hurt or kill animals at all.

“More than 600,000 animals were subjected to experiments that even the researchers considered had caused them moderate or severe suffering.” “Dogs, particularly beagles, are used for toxicity tests that include force-feeding, injection or skin application of unknown substances. These can even include pesticides, which are obviously something no one should be drinking.” Scientists are using unknown substances on dogs. They are force feeding them. This is why animal testing needs to stop. The animals being tested are

Animal testing has become one of a number of controversial issues because of the effects that it has on animals. Supporters of animal testing justify these effects because they believe that animal testing is the only way to find new cures for diseases. Research that has been done on this matter has proven it to be an ineffective way of finding cures. Furthermore, the reason why animal testing should not continue is because it leads to animals having psychological problems, dwindling of the number of endangered animals and cures that have been proven on animals do not work on people.…

When the animals come to a testing laboratory, they are subjected to many things that will horrify you to imagine, but this paper will go into detail about what they endure so you can have a clear view of what happens to these animals. When these animals are taken to the laboratory for testing, they are commonly subjected to force feeding by tubes and needles, are forced to breathe a certain type of gas that can permanently alter them, and even be deprived of food and water for days while these experiments go on. Not only do they have to go through these things everyday, but they also undergo long periods of physical restraint, infliction or burns and other, sometimes serious wounds so that the corporations that are testing on them can examine the healing processes of these animals. Neck-breaking, decapitation, and infliction of pain, to study effects and medicine remedies are also very common. The draize eye test is also commonly used by cosmetic companies to evaluate irritation caused by shampoos, which involves rabbits being incapacitated with their eyelids held open by metal clamps.…

People, especially scientists, are hurting innocent animals that did no harm to anyone. Animal testing shouldn't be allowed to happen because animals are getting hurt, they are not protected, and animals get mistreated. One reason that animal testing shouldn’t be allowed is because animals are getting hurt. For instance, the Draize eye test involves rabbits having their eyelids clipped open for as long as multiple days so that they don’t blink the product being tested away. Popular cosmetic brands like L'oreal, Lancome, Estee Lauder, and S.C. Johnson are used on animals.…

This quote explains animal testing perfectly; “Many cosmetic companies test their new products and ingredients by forcing rabbits, hamsters, and mice, among others, to endure horrific practices such as breathing in poisonous fumes or having lethal chemicals poured into their eyes and rubbed into their skin”(Natasha Cole, Cruelty Free Cosmetics). Many supporters of animal testing will argue that it can have positive outcomes, however, humanity uses it in vain ways. This makes it especially wrong because humans are treating animals cruelly and inhumanely mostly to look attractive. Continuing on about cosmetic testing on animals: “Animal testing for cosmetics is an outdated practice and does not provide the most reliable results regarding the safety, performance, or possible reactions that cosmetic products or ingredients could have in a person” (Natasha Cole, Cruelty Free Cosmetics). The reason to continue these means of testing on animals proves to be no longer relevant because easier and more reliable ways of testing do indeed exist.…

Imagine your family pet being enclosed in a small, cold, and dirty cage for days, weeks, or even months on end, only being taken out to be subjected to painful experiments without any anesthetic, as well as the possibility of developing life threatening diseases and injuries. Too many animals experience this on a regular basis around the globe - in fact, nearly 25 million animals will be used as test subjects annually. Animal testing is a horrible occurrence, one that brings suffering to even the smallest of creatures. Many people do not know the extremes of the effects of this practice, which are unnecessarily painful to animals, or that alternatives do exist, and that the results are not always accurate and time/cost effective. Experiments…

With animal testing on the rise, it is called out for being an unethical form of science. There are scientists and pro animal rights activists constantly on the search to reduce the number of animals involved in animal testing. They are trying to find alternatives to help layout a better blueprint for the science world. For instance, there are different types of lab testing that are used in an attempt to make animal testing more humane, as well as trying to pass laws that limit the use of animals in testing, scientists are stepping towards more animal free labs.…

After studying multiple views on animal testing I have come to realize my personal view has now changed since the start of my research. Before undergoing heavy study into animal testing I believed that all types of animal testing should be stopped, but now I believe that the idea is very beneficial and should only be done when the rights of the animal are considered. In the coming years, hopefully, more regulations can be passed to ensure that all animal’s lives are protected during experimentation. Although most animals are treated with care and no pain is dealt to them when undergoing testing, it would be a lie if I stated no animals are harmed during the process. Animal testing is extremely useful in developing life-saving drugs and medicine.…

Though I concede that in some situations, animal testing may be useful, such as in immensely important medical studies, I still maintain that it is unnecessary to make an animal suffer and be discriminated against. Although some people may think that animal testing is healthy and beneficial to humans, I believe that animal testing is unethical and utterly wrong because of the unfair repulsive treatment that animals receive from scientists. This topic is important because the world we live in is as much an animal 's world as it is a human’s world and right now humans are discriminating and enslaving…
