Why We Should Wear School Uniforms Be Banned

Should kids have to wear uniforms? Think about it, what comes to mind when someone says school uniforms? School uniforms create many problems such as lack of individuality. If everyone in your school was wearing the same thing wouldn't you feel like you're just like everyone else? Besides individuality, bullying, cost and take away of childhood expression are just a few reasons of why school uniforms should be banned.

School uniforms create many problems and one of the main ones is bullying. People say that when school uniforms were required bullying decreased, but that is not true. According to www.ListLand.com, A 1999 study conducted by experts from Texas Southern University showed that bullying incidents increased by as much as 12% after the implementation of mandatory uniforms. First of all, uniforms are very boring and they keep kids from living their childhood to the fullest by not letting them pick what they want to wear. Letting children pick what they wear makes them more ready for the future when they need to decide for themselves and uniforms keep them back. Secondly according to www.listland,com , 47% of parents are against school uniforms, 41% are for school uniforms, and 12% are undecided. This shows that kids aren't the only ones not agreeing with school uniforms. Another reason is that school uniforms get in the way of learning, like if it is too short or itchy. This could lower the child's grade, which would upset the parents and the kids. Finally the first rule of the U.S. Constitution is the freedom of expression and school uniforms take that away because you can't express what you want to wear. This is only a small part of evidence for why school uniforms should be banned from all
