People should not be able to test cosmetics on animals. People should not be able to test on animals because, more than half the results are not necessarily true, the US does not need another beauty product and most importantly, people are risking animals lives from these tests.
Results are not necessarily true:
Cosmetics that pass aren't necessarily safe. They may pass the animal test but they may affect humans and their health. In the 1950s a sleeping pill was tested on animals and caused the animals to have birth defect. The product still got approved to go on to the market, later it caused over 27,000 heart attacks before being pulled from the market. This proves that results that were correct on animals (even if they're not correct) go on to hurt humans and our society. 92 out of 100 drugs don't relate from animals to humans. A highly touted gene therapy, cured dogs of hemophilia caused liver problems in dogs. If the product doesn’t approve on the animal in the first place, they're wasting their time and animals. Animals should have a thought too. Just 50 experiments come at the cost of 12,000 animals lives.
