We had planned on a longer stay but we I had realized that I was with child and we decided that we should return to America. When we got back on January 6th, 2027 I immediately got an appointment with my doctor to figure out how far along I was in the pregnancy. Doctor Cullen said that I was about a week and half long in my pregnancy. Then he gave me a list of food and excises to do and eat so that the baby would grow healthy. So after the appointment I went home and told Toby about what the doctor had said and he was so happy to know that he would be a father and right away he had me call my parents to let them know the good news. Also to call the school and let them know that when we returned on Wednesday January 7th, 2027 I was going to need maternity in September 2027. As the year …show more content…
After a couple of more years of teaching I decided to switch to my other work choice of being a Veterinarian Technician because I would get to be home with the kids more often and also I would be able to work with animals which is a good thing because I wouldn’t have to stay at my job for eight plus hours. Where when I was teaching I would have so much homework to grade I would not get done until ten o 'clock at night before I could even spend one on one time with my kids. Now it is December 20th quite literally five days before my son’s first Christmas and I have no idea where we are going to celebrate it at because my parents want me to come to their house, Toby’s parents want us to come to them and my Grandparents want us to go to their house for Christmas. Our First Anniversary was spent with the kids we went to the Indianapolis Zoo and out to Chinese, but now that a really holiday is here everybody wants us. We are thinking that we should go to his parents in London, England because we went trick or treating with my parents for Halloween and we can go to my grandparents for

The career that I have chosen, as you more than likely already know, is a veterinarian. Veterinarians care for the health of animals and work to improve public health. They diagnose, treat, and research medical conditions and diseases of pets, livestock, and other animals. Some veterinarians specialize in small animals such as cats, dogs, and rabbits, and others specialize in large animals such as horses, cows, and pigs. I want to be a mixed animal veterinarian.…

On the first day of second grade, each student in my class was asked to fill out a simple questionnaire. Being an eager student, I started writing down my favorite color, favorite food, and the names of my best friends. The last question asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. Thinking back to the stethoscope and stuffed animals I carried around on career day, I shot my hand up into the air to ask for the proper spelling of the word ‘veterinarian’.…

I am interested in the veterinary medical field because I enjoy working with animals and caring for them. I live on a farm and take care of my animals daily. I do my best to make sure they are very healthy and live a happy life. Since I live on a farm, I get to experience many things such as the birthing process of multiple animals and abscesses! Although it is rare that they need assistance, there are still times when they need medical assistance for example: some of our cattle need their calves pulled, our dairy cattle get mastitis, piglets get stuck in the birth canal, and chickens have eccentric problems where they can only look down.…

As a young Hispanic female, it is difficult to strive in STEM fields when other minorities aren’t acknowledged or the budget prevents one from pursuing an education. For example, in the veterinary medicine field, there is a low representation among Hispanics. In 2010, Texas had at least 2% of their veterinarians as Hispanic. Polls were taken to solve the lack of diversity, and were found that the lack of diversity was mainly because of expenses. The lack of representation of the Hispanic community in the veterinary field encourages me to pursue biology and chemistry in undergrad to bring awareness in the diversity in the veterinary fields.…

A Veterinarian will stay up for late nights and long weekends just to care for the beings they love - animals. This job requires two major skills, which include compassion and problem-solving skills to carry out the duties of their job (). Compassion is defined as the "sympathetic concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others("") ," yet not all forms of compassion are derived toward…

The first step to obtaining a DVM is to complete undergraduate school. Several schools only require 45-90 undergraduate hours, but the school I am interested in, requires a bachelors degree. Finding a position in the field of veterinarian medicine has a high chance, due to the current rate of attrition, many Veterinarians are starting to retire and those places will need to be filled.…
