It has come to my attention that there have been many reports of cyber bullying at Walter Murray in the past few months. These reports have caused you and others to consider enforcing a complete ban on personal electronics at the school. This is not the way to solve the problem because cyber bullying doesn't generally occur during school hours, parents purchase electronics for their children's safety and banning them would remove a valuable resource for learning. Cyber bullying is an issue that effects one in five kids today.…

To ban a book is downright unjust in the way it forbids a person to communicate their thoughts, as well as restricts people from enjoying a piece of literature. Books as a whole are excellent teachers, and show another face to the world, and should not be banned. Moreover, the banning of books infringes on the freedom of speech and the freedom to read.…

Because students have grown up with technology and use it in their daily lives, it would make sense for schools to start using them as learning aids, rather than books. "Small business owners are now more dependent than ever on technology for growth since their customers and employees are so geographically dispersed,"Although some parents say that they would rather have their children learn from books like they used, our world is changing and electronics in the classroom would be more beneficial. Although some say that it is muscle memory which is why the teachers give notes, 80 percent of the time, the notes will get lost. If students used technology instead of books, the notes would not be able to get lost because the notes would be on their electronics. In addition, it would help if high school was like college in these types of situations.…

An improved law in the case of domestic violence is the mandatory arrest law, before the law was changed when there was a call for domestic violence law enforcement would travel to the location of the disturbance and try to mediate and separate the couple. “As a result, there have been several incidents where spouses would get seriously injured or killed by their abusers, in response victim advocates have lobbied and now mandatory arrest laws have been implemented.” (Find Law). Since the law has been reformed to mandatory arrest, police departments across the country have data stating that mandatory arrest is more effective than the previous procedure as mediation and separating the pair. The mandatory arrest law works well for law enforcement because the officers are taking action to eliminate the threat of the aggressor from the victim, by doing so the aggressor and the victim can be separated and cool down, also by removing the aggressor from the location the victim may not be intimidated and would be willing to file charges…

However, that is not true. One of the reasons cyberbullying is not a large concern is that not many students have actually cyberbullied others. Only 18% of surveyed students in a US School District have cyberbullied in their lifetimes. In perspective, that’s 848 out of 4734 students in the district [A]. By allowing schools to punish students involved in cyberbullying, many other aspects of the suspected bully would be accessed as well, which could and most likely would contain interactions with other children who had nothing to do with any of the bullying.…
