If students were required to do some type of volunteer work it would help them grow and mature into better adults. Students can learn that helping people can make them feel great inside and help them become a better person all together. When helping someone in any type of way, whether that be a homeless shelter or reading to younger kids, it gives a sense of gratification to both the student and whom they are helping.
