Over millions of students in America are expected to attend colleges and universities to further their education to pursue a career and become someone in life. Education would help students to promote knowledge that would be useful in life. Even, education is seen as a fundamental way of life where it will help people by containing mental, physical and emotional characteristics. With the burden of being in debt students suffer financially leading to a poor performance in school. A college education makes everything be seen in a different perspective and more interesting. Even, according to Alperstein "All colleges should be debt free ", the article informs how debt free would help students since, not every student that attends college has enough money to attend. Also, college tuition has been increasing as the years go by. Alperstein gives another example, how he takes debt free personally and takes out loans only as needed. He maximized the work study hours with the ideal circumstances in place, but still end up paying around $12,000. The survey from February contacted 501 Millennials with student loans and found out that 57 percent of respondents said, they regretted taking out so much in loans. As students try to do multiple things to not own a lot financially, they will still own a high or low debt. Like the Institute for College Access and Success notes on their website, the average student graduating from college in 2014 with debt owed $28,950.
