Guns are part of the American identity.This quote by Henry Rollins says it all. Guns are important to american society. It is how americans keep each other safe. Many times they are used in outdoor activities such as hunting, and bottle can shooting. In many places guns are given to boys who are becoming men. Sometimes however tragedy strikes. Someone goes into a school and kills innocent kids. Sometime the police are there in time to stop them and sometimes they are not. There are ways to prevent this from happening. More education, more training and restrictions in order for people to even own a gun. In the event of an emergency the school would go into lockdown and the police would be alerted. It could take up to fifteen minutes for the police to get to the school in that amount of time who knows what could happen. The shooter could continue to injure innocent citizens. “Teachers are our first line of defense and would be able to react much faster than any police officer who isn't on scene. Saying teachers are going to snap and be a shooter themselves is illogical.
